Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse interviewed on the red carpet at the Scream Awards

Damon and Carlton are a bit hard to hear in this. There’s a lot of screaming in the background, which is odd, but I guess appropriate because it is, after all, the “Scream Awards.”

They’re asked if they are going to work together again, and Carlton says that hopefully they will find something to do together “sooner, rather than later.” Also, Damon talks about “Star Trek 2,” the movie he is currently writing.

Reminder: LOST tribute on Spike TV Scream Awards tonight, Oct. 19, 2010

Tonight, you can watch a reunion of some of the old LOST gang, including the long-unseen Waaaaaaaaalt.

When: Tuesday, October 19, 2010, 9 PM (8 PM Central)
Where: Spike TV, during the Scream Awards

The show was taped on Saturday, and Spike TV released a clip of part of the LOST tribute. The cast and producers in attendance are, in order of appearance, Carlton Cuse, Jorge Garcia (who acts as the spokesperson for the group), Damon Lindelof, Francois Chau, Ian Somerhalder, Henry Ian Cusick, a very tall Malcolm David Kelley, Harold Perrineau, and a burning piece of Flight 815 wreckage.

Why no women? Hmmm.

There may be a LOST spin-off in the future, Carlton Cuse says

Carlton Cuse, speaking in an event in Madrid, said they weren’t planning on doing a spin-off “right now,” and they “have no plans now for a spin-off,” but “two years from now, maybe some bright idea will occur to us, and we’ll change our minds about whether there’s a possibility of something else to be done in the world, but for now, there are no plans.”

Notice how many times he says there are no plans now. He’s definitely keeping his options open.

I seem to remember Darlton saying there would never be any kind of a LOST sequel or movie, but then again, they also said the show wasn’t going to be about purgatory and that the ending would not disappoint. (What, me still bitter? Ha.)

Anyway, Carlton goes on to say, “Walt Disney Company, they own the LOST franchise, and it’s very possible they will decide to move forward with a new TV show or movie under the LOST ‘brand,’ and that’s totally their prerogative.”

Josh Holloway will be working with J.J. Abrams too!

Josh Holloway in the LOST pilot

Still catching up with the recent LOST news, I saw that Josh Holloway (Sawyer) has been cast in “Mission: Impossible 4,” which will be his first major-studio movie role (he’s been in a few indie films).

J.J. Abrams, who seems to be everywhere these days, is co-producing the film along with its star, Tom Cruise.

The movie is scheduled to be released in December 2011. Such a long time to wait to see Josh Holloway again!

Not much information has been released yet. The IMDB listing for the film doesn’t even name Josh’s character.

In related news, there is going to be a remake of the classic prime-time soap opera Dallas — and how cool will that be! — which will be about the next generation of the Ewing family and may bring back Larry Hagman and Patrick Duffy in their original roles as brothers JR and Bobby.

A rumor was circulating that 24‘s Kiefer Sutherland, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, and our very own Josh Holloway were going to be the stars of the new series, but reps for all three actors are saying that the rumors aren’t true.

Michael didn't get to go to Heaven, but Harold Perrineau is coming back

Jeff Jensen at EW’s PopWatch is reporting that on October 19 at 9:00 PM on Spike TV’s Scream Awards, there will be a special tribute to LOST that will bring together cast members and producers. So far, the following are confirmed: Jorge Garcia (Hurley), Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond), Harold Perrineau (Michael), Carlton Cuse, and Damon Lindelof, with more expected to show up.

Michael Emerson, Terry O’Quinn, and J.J. Abrams working together again!

OMG! I’ve been catching up on the LOST news, and saw that a few weeks ago there was an announcement that LOST creator J.J. Abrams is executive-producing a new show starring my two favorite LOST actors — Michael Emerson (Ben) and Terry O’Quinn (Locke). The show, tentatively titled Odd Jobs, is about former black-ops agents.

ABC, Fox, and NBC all wanted it — and NBC got it.

This could be so good. Or it could be a bitter disappointment. I’m betting on “so good” though. I actually haven’t been as excited about anything LOST-related since before the Finale.

Damon Lindelof talks about the LOST ending and the auction

In this interview conducted a few days ago (looks like it’s at a pre-Emmy event), LOST writer Damon Lindelof talks about the Finale. Unfortunately, he doesn’t say anything that would give us new insights. He’s responding to a question about whether he feels frustrated when people misinterpret the ending to mean that the LOST-ies were dead all along, and he gives a generic answer about how different people will interpret the show in different ways.

He says he wished that fans who didn’t have the money to buy things at the auction could have had a chance to get a piece of the show, which was a nice thing to say. He himself was outbid on some auction items.

He’s working on the Star Trek sequel and “kicking around” some ideas about what to do next.
