Terry O’Quinn (John Locke and Not-John-Locke) will be joining Daniel Dae Kim (Jin-Soo Kwon) on the second season of Hawaii Five-0, which starts on Monday, September 19, 2011 at 10 p.m.

Here’s a promo clip. Seeing Locke, um, I mean O’Quinn in the island landscape sparked some deja vu moments:

O’Quinn was originally supposed to be in a show called Hallelujah, but ABC canceled plans for the show in May. In July, Zap2it wrote that ABC may be reviving Hallelujah and may be trying to rehire O’Quinn. I haven’t been able to find any news about the show written since then, so it seems doubtful. It’s too bad because it sounded like it would be really good.

I’m not a big fan of this incarnation of Hawaii Five-0, but maybe Terry’s joining the cast will inject new life or give a new direction to the show. The existing cast is already good, though — the problem (at least in the few episodes I’ve seen) seems to be mostly in the writing.
