According to the CBS blog Watch!, the network is moving CSI from Thursdays to Wednesday, and

[that gives] CBS the opportunity to make its gutsiest call, slotting Abrams’ Person of Interest in what [Adweek media critic Marc] Berman calls “TV’s most pivotal hour,” Thursdays at 9 p.m.

[CBS scheduling boss Kelly] Kahl admits that it may be a risk to plug Person of Interest into CBS’ marquee and CSI’s long-held time slot, but the show’s pilot—about a billionaire (Lost’s Michael Emerson) who bankrolls the crime-stopping capers of a presumed-dead CIA spook (Caviezel)—was the network’s highest-testing drama in 15 years. “It has huge, broad appeal,” [CBS Entertainment president Nina] Tassler explains.

  1. Hi! This is pretty cool. Love seeing “Ben” on a new show (though I don’t have tv anymore … so can’t watch it.) I’ll have to see if this show is on Hulu.

+Hope you are doing well. I got a job as a school librarian in New Mexico!! It’s a private mission school located just outside a reservation. I also got a 4 month old kitten about a week ago – part Siamese. A little sweet girl. 🙂

  2. Hi, Laura! It’s great to hear from you. That’s so cool that you got a school librarian job — just what you wanted! And a little kitten — awww. I remember when you were just starting out on the brand new adventure of going back to school — it seems like it was only yesterday!
Things here are okay. I’m in NY now. Very different life!
It seems like the networks are putting most of their shows up on Hulu these days, so hopefully you’ll get to see this one. I don’t know if Michael Emerson will ever have a role like Ben again — that may have been a once-in-a-lifetime perfect combination of actor and role — but he’s amazing in everything I’ve seen him in, and I’m sure he will be in this show too.
And, as far as I know, he won’t be playing a scary creepy guy this time, so he probably will enjoy the change.
Though he does look very Ben-like in the picture. 😉

  3. That’s cool you are in NY now. I hope you weren’t too affected by Irene.

ME’s picture really does have a Ben like feel to it. 🙂

  4. We were lucky here, in the city. The hurricane wasn’t nearly as bad as everyone expected it to be. There was no damage to the apartment, I never lost electricity, and except for some scary wind howling noises, everything was fine. I have more batteries now than I know what to do with. 😉
Maybe it’s the glasses that make ME look so Ben-like. And the suit. And the way he’s staring at the camera. Not sure about the pointy hair — that’s a little odd.

  5. Glad to hear that you fared well in the storm. Hope you kept the receipts for the batteries. 😀

Yes, I agree. The spiky hair is a bit odd – not really Ben like. But the stare and the glasses and the stance — SO Ben like. 😀

  6. The only store that still had batteries left was the store that never takes anything back. Ha. I’ll find a way to use them eventually.

ME’s character is supposed to be a billionaire. Maybe pointy hair is the latest style in billionaire circles? 😉

  7. Ah.. that stinks. Maybe you can sell some on Craigslist. 😀

Maybe … or maybe they’re trying to make him look younger and “hip.”

  8. It’s an interesting look. Hip hair and banker suit, shirt, and tie.
